These rings are created as quiet reminders to slow down and reflect.

The forms are inspired by coastal cliffs: shaped over time by constant winds and waves.

I was drawn to how these surfaces hold both softness and strength. They carry marks of erosion, pressure, and time, which mirror the way we move through our own challenges.

Each piece was inspired by a specific location that I returned to throughout the process. This place is somewhere I go to find solitude, reset, and reconnect with myself, making it deeply personal and meaningful to me.

As part of the process, I collected rock samples from the site and created silicone moulds to capture their unique textures. These moulds were then used in wax casting, allowing the natural surfaces of the rocks to be translated directly into each ring. In this way, each piece carries a physical impression of a place that holds personal significance.

Since this project was quite personal, making these moulds into rings made sense. They’re worn close, often tied to memory, identity, or moments in time. They become part of you.

Through this work, I’m exploring the relationship between the external world and our internal one — and how both are constantly shaped over time.

No matter the scale, nature holds a sense of purpose and consistency. It’s something I try to return to, and something I hope each piece can quietly remind you of.
